Do iphones and ipads produce radiation?
There's this club in my school that says to ban ipads in school districts, because it may cause radiation and lead to cancer to students using it. My mom (doctor) also told me they increase the chance of causing brain tumors and radiation in the head? Is that true? Or complete bs? I don't have an iphone btw, but my brother has an ipad and he uses it for his car's performance to read data.
Yes, it does - but the amount is so small, and the energy behind the radiation so weak, that it's not even measurable more than an inch from the device. It could be installed inside you and left there, constantly running, for years with no measurable ill effects on your health.
- Why do some people like to act like iPhones and iPads are status symbols? If it were, I mean you'd have the whole lifestyle to keep up. But a lot of people buy them. I'll admit they're both convenient but I find it a little weird to think anything of owning one. (This is in general, and not directed towards how people act to me - just my observation).
- Why are the harddrives on iphones and ipads so small? The maximum Harddrive space on the latest iphone is only 64gb? Why is that? With all the apps, songs and films you can download the maximum space apple gives you is 64gb? Why? Its nowhere near as much as a laptop and cast your mind back to the ipod classic you could get a 160GB harddrive on them. Does anyone know why apple went backwards?
- More you use an app the more space it takes up on iPhones and iPads? I have an iPad and new iPhone 5 that I just got. I have rhapsody on both the same app and amount of music basically (iPad as seven more songs on app) but on the iPad the rhapsody app takes up 2.8 GB and the iPhone takes up 1.8GB. Why is that? The more use the app the more space it takes up even if you're not adding new content?
- How to Calculate Electomagnetic Radiation in iPhones? The Apple iPhone transmits electromagnetic radiation at a frequency 850 MHz when connecting to an AT&T cellular network. What is the wavelength of this electromagnetic radiation in units of meters and centimeters? I have no idea what to do since I'm only given one piece of information!
