Do iPhones Run Faster or Slower Depending on Language Settings?

I find I can learn (or keep up with) language learning by changing the language setting to my iPhone.

I have previously had my iPhone (5C) in English as well as in German and both times, I never noticed any significant slowdown in performance speed.

However, since I have changed my phone language to Dutch, I have noticed a number of hiccups and a reduction in overall performance.

Could this be instead due to upgrading to iOS8 or little support for Dutch language from Apple?

No they should work at the same speed, if that was the case then people would only use a language for speed. Software/operating system is the issue as some can start faster than newer/older operating system

  • Would playing The Sims in another language be a good way to learn that language? I play The Sims a lot anyway. There's a lot of volcabulary like household objects, emotions, everyday tasks etc This wouldn't be my only way of learning btw. I also have a learning French iphone app and a friend who is fluent.
  • Will updating my iPhone 4 make it run slower? Right now It says I'm on 7.1.2 and I want to update it but I'm afraid it will make it slower because its older.
  • Is the data add on fee the same depending on Verison of the iPhone? I want to get an iPhone 4 or better. I need to know if the price varies of phone bills between model of phone. I only need to know the Add on fee (like there's already one iPhone, I'm adding another iPhone to the plan, what's the additional cost?) If it varies between model we have AT&T unlimited text and 500 minuets per months of talk time. What's the add on fee?
  • IPhone.settings.language My dad was messing with my phone and changed the language to Chinese. It's an iPhone 4. I can't find out how to change it back to English because I don't know how to speak fluent Chinese.
