Do kids really need ipads and iphones?
Am I a bad guy for not spending hundreds of dollars items that they will either break or will be obsolete in a year?
No it just means your smart and not spending money. Just wise.
If you do buy those things your an idiot.
I don't think you should give kids iPhones, but you can give iPads or an iPod touch.
No, they don't
No, they don't NEED them, but imagine how happy they would be if they got something that they really wanted. I mean id never want one because i think they're unnecessary but some of my friends have them and really love having them. Also it depends on their age. I think any kid under 13 doesn't need things like that but it could be fun and useful for older kids.
Of course not, kids keep getting more spoiled than the previous generation. Parents try to compensate for poor parenting skills and little quality time with more stuff, but it doesn't work. In a year or so they won't even remember you bought them an iPad or iPhone. Instead, take time to learn how to be a good parent and work on your relationship with them.
No. My child has a Tracfone and is getting a MP3 player that looks like a Ipod for Christmas. He knows that we can't afford to get him a contract phone or an Ipod. No one else in the family uses contract phones, we all use prepaid phones. I also use a cheap MP3/Video player that I paid $25 for. He was excited to use my $25 MP3 player when I got it. So he is going to be happy to have his own.
I also bought him a $30 e-reader for Christmas. He will be excited about getting that because it was something he did not ask for or has any idea that he will be getting this for Christmas. He thinks he is getting a bunch of books. Which he is in his new $30 e-reader.
Parents need to spend what they can afford to spend and not be ashamed that the items they get for their child are not the most expensive or the best. I'm doing the best that I can with the money that I have. If someone has a problem with what I can afford, they can buy it for my child.
I think that parents should get their child things that weren't avaible that they didn't have as a child they should want the best for their child
- Why do some people like to act like iPhones and iPads are status symbols? If it were, I mean you'd have the whole lifestyle to keep up. But a lot of people buy them. I'll admit they're both convenient but I find it a little weird to think anything of owning one. (This is in general, and not directed towards how people act to me - just my observation).
- Why are the harddrives on iphones and ipads so small? The maximum Harddrive space on the latest iphone is only 64gb? Why is that? With all the apps, songs and films you can download the maximum space apple gives you is 64gb? Why? Its nowhere near as much as a laptop and cast your mind back to the ipod classic you could get a 160GB harddrive on them. Does anyone know why apple went backwards?
- More you use an app the more space it takes up on iPhones and iPads? I have an iPad and new iPhone 5 that I just got. I have rhapsody on both the same app and amount of music basically (iPad as seven more songs on app) but on the iPad the rhapsody app takes up 2.8 GB and the iPhone takes up 1.8GB. Why is that? The more use the app the more space it takes up even if you're not adding new content?
- How many iPods, iPads and iPhones will be made? Has apple already planned how many they will make? When will the next iPod, iPad, and iPhone come out?
