Do we really need a PC in the future?

I had my iPhone 4 since 2 years and switch to the iPhone 5. I used my phone more than a PC. Since I had my Nexus 7 since January, I sold my PC to my brother and… I realize that I didn't really needed one because my phone and my tablet does my web needs.

What do you guys think? Do we really need computers in the future to do simple web base stuff?

You don't need a desktop to surf the web and do simple shopping. Almost all sites have a mobile version and phones are powerful enough to do basic tasks. Desktops are for home convenience, larger screens, and "console" title gaming.

We'll definitely still need them. As much as I've tried to use my Nexus 10 for typing, and as much as I like its new swiping to type, it just can't match a keyboard. It's 10 WPM vs 80 WPM. And as much as I like Fruit Ninja, it just can't match a good round of Dota 2. I've tried using an iPad for first-person shooters, and it just doesn't work. I've tried using my Nexus for multiple-choice tests for my college classes, and tapping multiple times to ensure you've hit the right option is time-consuming. You're right that we don't need computers for simple web stuff, but there's so much more to the web than the consuming of media like Youtube, Facebook, news sites (which annoyingly ask me to use their apps), and Netflix.

  • Upgrade to iOS 7.0 and future iOS'es? I've downloaded and installed the developer version of iOS 7 on my iPhone. When the public release is distributed in fall, will I be able to upgrade to that one? And if I miss it, will I be able to upgrade to future updates (like iOS 7.0.1 and 7.1.0 for example)?

Like how Bill Gates makes his Windows computers and how Steve Jobs made his iphones. Can you guys give me some websites where I can find some help BESIDES YOUTUBE? I would really appreciate it if you helped me. I want to change the generation of today's technology.
