Do you really need good grades to get a good job?

I'm so sick of going to high school just to get "GOOD GRADES". I'm 14 and when I was a little kid I saw my uncle with a lot of money and he didn't even have that much good grades when he was a little kid ( and he didn't steal it). I see people on the streets didn't even go to college but still got flat screen TV's, iphone 6 plus, and new jewelry. And one more question. If I do 2 years in high school; will I still get a good or regular job?

I'm a freshmen

Yes, you need good grades to have a good future. For every person you hear of who has money but no education, there are 100 poor dropouts. And those people you see with possessions? For all you know they're in debt to the max and don't have food in their fridge.

No, you won't get a good job with just two years in high school. You need a minimum of a high school degree AND at least some college.

Would you get good grades if someone paid you a million dollars? That's how much more you make in a lifetime if you have more education.

No not at all. I dropped out and got my GED in 9th grade. And i work at a Chemical plant making 23 and hour

You have to complete high school and also have minimum 4 year college degree to get a good job. Good job meaning working with quality co-workers that are intelligent and will help you grow, good pay and benefits, where you are treated like an adult and are given decision making power, where you have good working conditions like decent office space, and where the company has a great reputation and encourages and challenges their employees.

Don't you want to be around other adults that are super intelligent and ambitious. Or are you happy working a mediocre job with uneducated people that have no interest in world affairs and no knowledge of what's going on outside their home town?

If you want anything decent to come out of your life - get a 4 year degree from an accredited institution. It's hard work, but you will feel great and will have job offers when you graduate.

(are you going to be happy working at a call center, sweat shop or at a retail facility? Or working w/ a bunch of no class hustlers and bullies? )

Life is not easy. We have to pay a price. A kid pays the price by studying and passing high school and then going to college.

  • Which would you get rid of, home internet or iphone if you lost your job? Assuming there was a job loss and you wanted to keep some service would you keep home interent or iphone I'm thinking you can use iphone still with the Wi-Fi.

  • I really want an iPhone, but I can't even find a job? I'm in my late teens and when I ask my dad if I can get an iPhone, he basically says no, even if I ask how can I earn it. What do I do to get him to think about getting me one? I appreciate everything he does for me, but at the same time I Really want this phone. It's seriously my dream phone.
  • I'm 18, 19 in January. I need a job from home I have an illness that doesn't allow me to work at an actual workplace. I have tried but it almost cost me my health. Is there something i can do at home? It needs to be legit, and easy as i only have a GED. I have no money that i can put into it. I have a laptop, Wi-Fi, and an iphone.
