Yes, every Apple product comes with a free one year warranty. But it only covers defects, not loss or accidents.
That means if it breaks by itself, they'll fix it or replace it for free in the first year.
But if you lose it, or it gets stolen, or you drop it in the toilet, or it falls out of your pocket, etc. Then that's your problem.
