Does Bluetooth make it so that my iPhone can access internet anywhere?

So is the point of Blue Tooth for your Wi-Fi to work even when you're not connected to your wireless network? Like all iPhones come with Bluetooth installed so that they can access internet wherever you go, right? So like at the grocery store I can use the internet (even though I'm not connected to my home Wi-Fi network) because I have Bluetooth.

I'm just trying to figure out what Bluetooth's main purpose on our phones is. Also, someone said that Bluetooth sucks up battery life so I was thinking I should turn it off when I'm at home or something. I don't know.

No not at all Bluetooth lets u connect things like keyboards and allows u share media between phone and computers but not Internet in any reliable sense it only makes a small network for about ten feet to connect to small devices like your tv mouse and keyboards stuff like that. Wi-Fi is for internet

  • Why can't i get internet connection anywhere else but on my computer? So i have a netgear wirless router and a arris modem for my computer. All of a sudden, the connection on my phone from netgear was not working so i went on my computer but the connection on it was fine. Right now the connection on my computer is perfect but i just can't get any connection on my xbox, ps3, or iphone 4's. Can anyone please help. This has never happened to me before.

  • Syncing IPhone 4S Bluetooth with 2006 Prius Bluetooth? I just purchased an IPhone 4S and it will not sync with the bluetooth on my 2006 Prius. I have been to my Toyota Dealer who sent me back to Verizon store who said reinstall software on phone, which I did No luck. Any suggestions?
  • My Iphone is not letting me access the internet or internet based apps? I have an Iphone 5. Never had any issues but now it won't connect to the internet or any apps. It does the same thing it does when I have no service (just has that little circle symbol that means it's trying to get through). Orginally, I thought it must be a universal problem but everyone else has service and they are in the same location as me. Also I always use my phone here with no problems. I have tried turning it off and on again but nothing.
