Does iMessaging someone internationally cost money?
I live in the US. I have a friend in Australia who has an iPhone as do I and our texts have been sending as iMessages. I'm just wondering if these will be extra charges on my cell phone bill. I went to Settings and made sure that when my iMessage fails, my texts aren't sent as SMS, so am I safe?
As far as I'm aware, it should be free as long as you are using the internet. It's a basic email type of application so you shouldn't be charged for it.
- Will iMessage cost me when I'm traveling internationally but on Wi-Fi? I have an iPhone 4 and I'm in Canada however my standard plan just includes the states. I'm currently connected to my aunts Wi-Fi and I wasn't sure if by using iMessage I would have to pay international roaming rates or if it would be free still since I'm on Wi-Fi?
- Is iMessaging internationally free? Quick question, i have an ipod touch and an iphone 5s, living in the UK. My friend has an ipod touch too and an iphone 5 living in america. They have imessage activated on their ipod, i have it activated on my phone as i rarely use my ipod. Summary: will it be free for me to imessage them from my iphone 5s in england to their ipod touch in usa?

- If someone calls me using an iPhone app, will it cost me any extra money? My friends been calling me using an iPhone app. She is not long distance, we used to talk all the time and her phone has just been turned off (her reasoning for using the app). Will it cost me any extra money for her to do that? Its a free app.
