Does it charge if someone calls me from the US?

I've got a family member and friend who are currently living in the Usa however I'm in the uk and I was wondering if they call me would it charge me and also them? Or it will just charge them? I've got a iphone 5c EE network phone I currently don't have any credit on my phone however if someone calls me I can still answer I was just wondering if its free if someone from the us calls me if I'm located in the Uk.

Added (1). I don't want to use Skype I'd rather use mobile phone. Please read what I just said because I didn't mention anything about abroad I was wondering if I get charged from an incoming call from a person who is in the Us and I'm in the uk. So they will get charged if they call? No matter there location?

Why don't you both use Skype? That way you can call each other over the internet for free. You can install it on newer phones too.

If they call you then they have to pay. The only time you might have to pay for an incoming call is if you take your phone abroad.

I don't think you would get charged only the person who is calling you will be charged
