Does it cost money to use Internet on an iPhone at home using Wi-Fi?
I got an iPhone. It says that it costs ¢20 per message on facebook. I hear that when your connected to Wi-Fi which I'm at home, Internet is all free. Will I be able to message people on facebook and browse the Internet while connected to Wi-Fi?

- Will using my iPhone's hotspot cost extra money? I have an iPhone 4s (which is up to date on all IOS updates) and I have the unlimited data plan at AT&T. I'm leaving for a road trip tomorrow, and I wanted to turn the hotspot on so I could use that Wi-Fi on my laptop during the trip so I won't get bored. It says I need to set up an account for it, which I will do later… But would any extra charges be added to my bill?
- Will using iMessage cost me money under my provider new charge? My phone provider(telus) is adding a 40 cent per text to people outside of Canada so my question is, since me and my friend both have iPhones, if iMessage counts as a text or not cause it uses Wi-Fi?
- Why does my iPhone still charge for Internet even when I'm not using Internet? So, I recently got a pay monthly plan with my new iPhone 4s. When i'm out and about I'm usually updating my twitter and Facebook account. But, when I'm put my phone down, 3G still says I'm using it and charging me. So do I have to turn it off when i'm finished? Or is there a much easier way?

My friends been calling me using an iPhone app. She is not long distance, we used to talk all the time and her phone has just been turned off (her reasoning for using the app). Will it cost me any extra money for her to do that? Its a free app.
