Does it violate Copyrights of the creators of the music?

So IIm creating an iphone application that plays my playlist from soundcloud. Do I have to have the rights to the all of the music in order to release my application?

Copyrighted materials can be used by either: permission from the copyright holder or by using it in a way defined under "fair use".

If you are making your app for your own use, it will likely fall under fair use. If you are going to sell them, they will not.

What exactly do you have on Soundcloud? Did you purchase the music somewhere, or otherwise legally obtain it?

If you even have to ask, I'd expect your app is going to have copyright infringement problems… As well as problems with Soundcloud.
