I wanted to know if I leave my iphone 5 plugged in charging all night, will it damage my battery?
The battery in the phone will not be damaged like that. It should shut it self down once it has charged.
If you mean your car battery than no, it will not damage it at all.
I have a iPhone 3GS and never leave it charging overnight. Because I know from experience overcharging a battery will shorten its life.
It will also happen with laptops. Then you will have to buy a new battery.
Over charging a battery does shorten its life. You should unplug the charger after your phone completely charges. There will be two benefits of it. You will enhance the life of your iphone's battery and also, you will be saving a considerable amount of electricity which will contribute towards the optimum utilization of resources.
They are right you NEVER want to over charge a battery. It will shorten the life of a battery. How ever if you do not care then please go ahead and do so. IT is your battery and phone.

- Leaving my Iphone in a hot car? I'm going to Warped Tour tomorrow in Holmdel NJ. The high is going to be 93. I was planning on turning my phone off and leaving it in my glove compartment. I don't want to bring it into the show because I don't want to break it. But now my concern is that it will overheat. Do you think it will be okay since it's off and in a place that isn't receiving direct sunlight? Or should I just bring it with me? Are there any other precautions I could take?
