Does SMS and MMS history disappear when you block a caller on iPhone?

This is an iPhone 5 with the most up-to-date Operating System. For legal reasons it would be great to be able to subpoena the call and text records but I don't personally want to be exposed future to the harassment from the contact.

I haven't found very exact details about this specific concern elsewhere and want to be certain, although these sources may take it for granted that the text and call history will be maintained and that the carrier will still receive these messages and calls although my mobile will not.

If anyone could address these concerns definitively, that would be greatly appreciated.

No,
The History does not disappear unless you delete the history yourself, the history is still there. Think of it as a number that you no longer contact the messages are there but they don't respond the same principle. You are blocking them from future contact not erasing persent

  • When you Block Caller on iPhone, does it completely block them or do they show up as Unknown? I routinely "Block Caller" telemarketers, so does using the iPhone "Block Caller" option block all calls, or will the calls still come through and just show up as "Unknown"? I've received a lot of "Unknown" phone calls lately, so that's what I was attributing it to.
  • What's the difference between an 'unkown' caller and 'no caller ID'? This unknown number keeps ringing me, and i thought if someone blocked their numbers (on iphones) it comes up as no caller ID so i'm not sure if it is still a blocked number or a number that can't come trhough. But when i answer nobody speaks and they've rang one of my friends so its not a scam phone call also they don't speak at all so if it was a company of some sort they must of spoken so its probably a prank call but i wanna know the difference to make sure.
  • ON IPHONE, How do i send a text a email address as a SMS and not MMS? On my basic phone, I can text a email address without it being MMS. Now on my iPhone, it only can text email addresses using MMS. This requires data. Does apple IPHONES not know how to text a email address? I don't want to use data to text email address? I might as well just use email.
  • Is there a Iphone app that lets you block your caller ID? I have the iPhone through straight talk and i wanted to download an app to block my caller ID when i call people. Since i'm with straight talk, using my carriers block service isn't available since straight talk doesn't offer that. Any suggestions?
