Does sprint have good reception?

I was with Verizon for a long time. THey by far had the best nationwide covereage. Then, in my desire for another Apple product, I switched to AT&T for the iPhone. THeir service is ok. My number one regret is abandoning unlimited data. I have not been on pandora in years, and I miss blasting it everywhere.

My question is simple: is sprint a good provider, in LA? Organge County (South Orange County is where I live)? I know there are loyal fans that will say yes immediately, but I'm interested in responses from those who have recently switched from AT&T or Verizon. Are you happy? Would you do it again?

Sprint has ample coverage in LA, but it is worth mentioning that overall, Sprint does not have as good of data speeds as AT&T and Verizon do in most areas.

It is also worth mentioning that while Sprint offers "Unlimited" data, that is only when on Sprint towers. There are roaming limits for data, something on the order of 300MB, before your account is flagged. If you roam too much, your account and phone will both be shut off, and if you fail to respond fast enough, you will lose your number.

Sprint is a good service, so much as you do not roam much.

  • Would i get better reception with 4G? Where i live i don't get good service at all. Almost none unless i go to town. I have to text thru a Wi-Fi texting app. If i got a 4G phone like the Iphone 4 or something would i get better reception?
  • Will the iphone 5c have better reception in my house than my iphone 4? Currently my calls always drop out and i have to go outside, i'm considering changing service providers however will a iphone 5c help my reception or should i change service provider?
  • Verizon iPhone 4 very slow with 3G reception? Even when I have a full 5 bars of reception on my Verizon iPhone 4, it can still take a very long time to load even the simplest pages or send messages. Usually when this happens, the circular revolving loading symbol that appears next to the "3G" will lag, it won't stay consistently turning which makes me think it's having a hard time loading pages. Also, my messages will sometimes send twice or reach the recipient hours after I send them a text.
  • Replaced iphone screen, now bad Wi-Fi reception? Ok so i just replaced my iphone screen and now the Wi-Fi connection is terrible i'm not even 10ft from away from my router and it doesn't pick up anything!
