Does T Mobile do a credit check?

I went on T Mobile and I was going to buy the iPhone 5 for $145.99 but in little letters it says "for well qualified buyers." Does this mean they will do a credit check? Virgin Mobile doesn't and they are prepaid and so is T Mobile. I want to buy the phone then have it shipped to me but when I go to the store to activate it, will they do a credit check?

I received an email saying my order has been placed and another saying saying it will take 3 weeks delivery. In the email it Gives me an order number for tracking and when i track it it says order placed with manufacturer but not dispatched. But i have no idea in regards to whether my contract has gone through or not and if i've passed my credit check? Can anybody shed any light?
