Does the iphone 4 automatically turn on when charging?

My iphone power button is broke so i'm worried once my battery goes i won't ever be able to turn it back on again. But my friend said if the battery goes once i plug it in to charge it will automatically turn itself back on again once it reaches a certain charge %… Is this true?

I know my iPhone 4S automatically turns on when it's off and gets plugged into charger. The iPad also does this.So, if I had to guess, I would say that your phone WILL turn back on when it dies and you plug it into the charger.

Not complete. Yes it turns on but when you take it out it turns off. But if your phones broken run the battery dawn to below 15 percent and charge it up. That usually helps if your battery is broken

I have the IPhone 4s, and I have had it for almost 2 years now and i have an upgrade in September but i have a lot of problems right now. My phone dies CONSTANTLY. It dies at 60, 70, 80, 90, even 100% sometimes & on the rare occasions when it does die at a low percentage, it can take anywhere from 2-9 hours to turn on. I just wanted to know if there was a way i can get my IPhone to turn on while charging, I really need help, this happens to much and I'll try anything!

Just called up apple and found out the answer, decided to share it with the world to keep your sound systems safe. If your charge your ipod touch or Iphone, Have it unplugged from your sound system. Cheers. kind of agree with you man, But my logitech z5500 system is like $1000 new right now… Insane, don't want to take a chance. But your probably right.
  • Iphone 6 Won't turn off automatically? My iPhone 6 won't turn off automatically! Ok, so, for example, I turn my phone on to check my messages. Once I finish checking my messages I press the home button. And leave my phone on the home screen then set it down (While it's still on the home screen) and if I walk away for even 15 minutes it's STILL on. It will only turn off if I do it myself. My other iPhone hasn't done this!
