Does Virgin Mobile work good?

I currently have US Cellular and I have had it for the past 4 years. However, I'm now in college and my college pretty much requires us to have instant access to email. I have the LG Banter Touch right now and it is very outdated. I'm not willing to consider any other phone besides the iPhone. I'm a huge fan of Apple. I have the MacBook and the iPod. I just do not want to pay to sign a contract and I don't wan to be locked into anything. I had Virgin Mobile about 6 years ago, and it was bad then. But I have heard that they have changed a lot since then. If not Virgin Mobile, then what other carrier should I use? (Please keep it pre-paid if possible.) I'm also on a tight budget so I want something reasonable. I generally only get on FaceBook and my email, along with texting and picture messaging so I'm not sure how much data I would need.

No no no do not get virgin mobile they suck i have it. Tmobile has iphones and they have a $50 a month plan with no contract.

I've really heard mixed reviews about them. They run on the Sprint network, so if Sprint has a poor signal where you are, they are probably not a good idea. Plus the customer service will not be what it is at US Cellular.
What I suggest you do is purchase an unlocked iPhone and a prepaid SIM card from T-Mobile. T-Mobile has good rates and with prepaid you don't have to worry about overages for going over your monthly limit.

The olny good thing about virgin mobile is the iphone. Go to t mobile they are like 5 dollars more per mouth and they have much better serivace and the coverage is better then virgin mobile.
