Does Wi-Fi count towards my data usage?
I'm getting an iPhone (my first smart phone) soon and I wanted to know if I used Wi-Fi if it counted towards my data usage.
No it does not.
Wi-Fi is not applied toward your data because some1 else is paying for it like if your home an using Wi-Fi its your utility bill so why pay for it twice right. Data is when you are using the companys internet. So its only charged when when you are on the 4g.
No it doesn't. It doesn't waste you data usage quickly if you use Wi-Fi.
- What does iPhone data count as? I got an iPhone; and my mom said I've been using data… What does data count as? I used snapchat; kik; and YouTube. Also Internet. What does data count towards?
- Under settings on my iPhone, does the data usage include Wi-Fi usage? Because its stating a ridiculous amount and I've had my data off… And my Wi-Fi on. Does the total of data include the amount of Internet I'm using when on Wi-Fi? I'm so confused
- IPhone: settings cell usage vs AT&T's data usage number? AT&T has a number, by calling it will send you a text message telling you how much usage you have used on your data. But also in the iPhone there's a cellular usage count in the settings app which also tells how much data you have used. Both of my cellular usage counts are different. Which is right?
- IPhone 5 data usage. How much data will I need for certain apps? If I'm sending around 15-20 tweets a day, refreshing my twitter feed frequently about once every 10-15 mins & refreshing an Instagram feed around once an hour will 250MB's data be enough for a month? I won't be posting any photo's on Instagram or Twitter when I'm away from Wi-Fi. I'll also be receiving about about 10 emails a day without attachments?
