How to I download a wav file from the internet to my raspberry pi?

I'm trying to download a wav file from GitHub and when I click the download button it takes me to a screen that looks like the one I would get if I tried it on my iPhone-just an empty screen except a play button and a bar.

Wav files tend to be large, I'd download them to a regular laptop, convert them to mp3 or ogg, and then transfer them to the raspi

But always remember: wav is a lossless format, while mp3, ogg (vorbis and opus) are.

Download it and put it in the raspberry pie.

Typically right click and select "Save link as…" or something to that effect. This is based on Firefox in Linux (similar to another Mozilla browser "iceweasel", if you installed that on the Pi). I don't know if midori is still the default browser, but iceweasel or chromium-browser work better.

You may post a link so we can see. For me it downloads automatically when I click the link the the wav file. Same result when I right click and select "Download Link". I'm running Raspbian 8.0, Jessie.

Try right clicking on that play button and bar screen and click the save button maybe?

I found it! Wget and the link

  • Why can't' I download IOS 6.1.2 IPSW file I'm trying to downgrade my iphone from IOS 6.1.3 to 6.1.2 but whenever I try to download a IPSW file instead of downloading it opens up another tab that loads forever or it will make it seem like its going to download but instead it makes the screen loads forever also. I've seen other people download IOS IPSW files without any problems but when I do it I get a screen that loads endlessly. I'm trying to jailbreak my phone but first I need to downgrade it.

  • Wav to mp3, and does that change the pitch? Please, one small question, how to safely convert wav songs to mp3, so they can play on iTunes and I can load them on my iPhone. Secondly, I have used Audacity to convert the pitch from 440 Hz to 432 Hz for these songs and saved them as.wav because it doesn't allow me to save them as.mp3. Will this conversion from wav to mp3 change the pitch from 432 Hz to something else?
