Dropped iphone in toliet
So my iphone died and 5 mins after i accidently knocked it in the toliet and took it out immediately, it was only in water for under 3 seconds, so far i've blow dried it and now its sitting in rice, its only been 15 mins since its happened so i don't wana try and put it on the charger yet, anyone else do this and did something that fixed it? Please help i don't have a warranty and i really don't wanna lose all my pictures and contacts.
Hmm
Did you try turning the "on" button?
Don't power on or plug the phone with charger if there's water in your phone.
Just make the phone dry with hair dryer.
I will give you one tip.
This tip will be useful if you eat or have rice.
Put the phone in the rice(not cooked rice).
Rice can absorb the water.
Just try it, I'm sure that there's no effect because of rice.
If there's a memory card, remove it immediately. First off charging it is not the answer. Leave it in a ziplock bag of rice overnight. In the morning before you try to turn it on, plug it into the charger and begin charging for an hour or so then presto! If you do not succeed then you should be able to send it off to have it repaired. About you data and pictures, unless you have backed it all up on "I cloud" then there's no hope.
Trust me, you are fool, but not the foolest.

Don't thank me, just don't do it again…
Try to power on your iPhone to see it the contacts and photos are still there.
If you can't power on your iphone, have you backed up your contacts and photos to your computer with iTunes? If you did, you will not lose them. You can extract photos and contacts from your itunes with some third part software.
download the Itunes data recovery tool, scan your itunes file, you can find your photos and contacts.

Hope this helps!
You know water is no.1 enemy to electric and electronics.don't on or plug it till completely dry. Try the rice treatment as mentioned.
- Iphone Damage? I just dropped my iPhone? I just dropped my iPhone and I'm worried I damaged it. I have a casemate case on it and I just dropped it on the wood floor. I don't see any damage, there are no cracks or visible damage, and the screen still works fine. But I'm still worried. Is there anything I should check or any damage I might have? I'm kinda freaking out. Ps. If you know any, please paste a link of the most protective case you know
- IPhone 4s camera light stuck on after being dropped in a puddle? Ok so me and my friend were at the park and I accidentally droped my phone (iPhone 4s) in a muddy puddle. We took it to bits and completely dried it (not an easy task I might add!). The only problem now is my camera doesn't work and the light is stuck on. I'm going to try doing a hard reset via iTunes tomorrow but I've read that doesn't actually help. Any suggestions?
- I dropped my iphone in the toliet? I have at&t and I have insurance on my phone, I bought the phone in may so therefore its less than a year old. WILL THEY REPLACE IT?
