Dropped my iphone 4 in the toilet?

3 days ago i dropped my phone in the toilet it got submerged in the water for about 3 seconds. At the time i didn't have any rice so i towel dried it and took it to the att store.nothing they could do because the phone is in my grandmother name.anyway 3 days later after its been in rice it still won't come on. I heard that you should blow dry it because heat is bad for your phone. I'm devastated and i don't want to buy a new phone. Are there any other tricks or is my phone gone?

The phone is most likely gone for good, as the entire "drying the phone out/rice trick' is only completely successful if the water has a pH of exactly 7.0 (just water, zero impurities), which is almost impossible to pull off without advanced filtration systems. The non-water elements that enter the phone will be deposited and will lead to internal destruction of the circuit pathways, leading to complete failure of the phone.

If you have insurance on the phone, that will cover the phone's replacement, once the deductible is paid. Regardless, the phone will have to be replaced.
