Dropped my iphone 4 in the tub what should i do?

Idiotic me was using my phone in the tub and i dropped it. It had a case but it still exposes all the plug ins and what not.
it was fully submerged in the water for about 1 second before i grabbed it, took the case off and dried it with a towel as best as i could and then i ran to the kitchen and shoved it in a bag of rice.
is my phone still going to work and are there any other ways that i can save it? I don't have insurance and do not want to spend 200 for a repair.
its winter and i live in canada so drying it out in the sun won't work.
any other ways to dry the inside out? I've got it in rice now, but for how long should it stay in there?

Put the battery and a bag of rice then put the cell phone in a bowl of rice trust me the same thing happened to me and that's what I did and my cell phone still works:-)

Leave it in the rice for 24 hours, and maybe put it in a warm spot like near a heating vent. There's a really good chance the phone will still work after that treatment. The ports don't allow much water in, so the chances enough moisture entered to do significant damage are small. It may shorten the phone's lifespan, though, because corrosion may start to happen even after you've dried it out. Start saving a bit of money every month for a replacement just in case.

Depends if water damaged or not. Stupid of you to do that, it will be a lesson learned.
