Dropped my iPhone 4s in the ocean?
I caught it before it washed away, but I tested it out and it seems to be working okay. The charger and headphones work as far as I can tell, and so does the screen. I'm wondering if I should take any further measures to make sure my phone will be alright? I read somewhere that saltwater is corrosive to iPhone components, but I also read that if you drop it in saltwater that you're supposed to rinse it with freshwater. Won't this damage the iPhone further? I don't wanna take any chances.
Turn it off, take out the battery if possible and put it in rice immediately and leave it for at least 3 days even if it works now it could short out at any moment in the future
Try to call someone and see if they can hear you and if you can hear them. Don't try fresh water because it will ruin your iPhone more further
I would wait and see. If its working okay you should just forget it happened.
Rice.
If you want to take further measures to make sure that you phone is OK then you can, it won't hurt to check it out, but personally in my opinion if it is working OK and even the charger and headphones are OK then I don't see how anything would change but still check everything like all your apps and make a phonecall to see if it works, also you can get someone to call your phone to see if it works. Personally If it is working fine I wouldn't take any further action because even if it says saltwater is corrosive to iPhone components nothing seems to have happened but you can still take it to the shop to get some advice it won't hurt and I don't even think it will cost you anything.
- What should I do with this iPhone 5 I found at the beach floating in the ocean? I found an iPhone 5 at the beach, floating in the ankle-deep water. It was completely water-logged and looks like it may have been in the ocean for days or weeks. Of course doesn't power on, has corrosion on the external ports. What should I do with it? Can it be used as a trade-in on a new iPhone 6? Don't know carrier either.

- Iphone Damage? I just dropped my iPhone? I just dropped my iPhone and I'm worried I damaged it. I have a casemate case on it and I just dropped it on the wood floor. I don't see any damage, there are no cracks or visible damage, and the screen still works fine. But I'm still worried. Is there anything I should check or any damage I might have? I'm kinda freaking out. Ps. If you know any, please paste a link of the most protective case you know
