Dropped my iphone 6 plus in the bathub?
I was chilling in my bathtab watching videos while relaxing. Dropped my phone, it was there for a few seconds. It turned off after a couple of minutes later. I put it in a bag of rice 10 minutes later. Will it work?
Probably not.
If its not insured, you get to pay of that one and get whatever you want.
In a day or two when it has dried out it might.
Probably not.
It may or may not work after it has had a few days to dry out. The old adage: "only time will tell" applies here.
The bag of rice trick does work, especially if you are in most climates where humidity will slow the evaporation rate. Be advised that any warranty you might have had is now gone. Internally, iPhones have some little sensors that change color when they get wet. They do not change back when they dry, so any tech opening your phone will see that it spent some time playing submarine.
