Dropped my iPhone in the lake?

I dropped my iPhone in a lake about 3 hours ago. I drove to the nearest grocery store, which took about 25 minutes, for a bag of rice. Although unadvised, I checked every now and then to see if there were any improvements on its condition. At first, not much other than the sound was not working. After being in the bag for about 2 hours, I checked once again for minor improvements but saw that the condition has only worsened. As of now, the phone only works when plugged into the wall and can't connect to Wi-Fi or 3g. Although I do plan to keep the phone in the rice for much longer, does my phone have a chance of survival? Keeping in mind that the phone was in the water for maybe 45 seconds at the most.

It may have a 'chance in survival'. If i were you i wouldn't check the phone until tomorrow morning. Just keep it in the rice.

Be more careful with the replacement.

Rice is miniral rich hence it does more damage to moister then not using rice. You need to take it to a cellphone repair place that does water damage with isopropanol, ultrasonic cleaning and soldering skills
