How do you fix a fading wallet phone case?

I have a Star Wars wallet iPhone 6 phone case and the picture is fading and I'm wondering if there's anyway I could fix it.

Is it fading because the image is printed on the material the case is made of, and the dirt and oils from your hands, along with UV light exposure is degrading the image? Or is the dirt and oils from your hands making the material so dirty that it is getting harder to see the image, due to the case getting darker and darker?
