Fixing black side bars on iPhone video?

I just came back from Europe and I took a ton of video on my iPhone and was going to use it for my travel vlog. However, I refuse to use it if I can't fix the black bars because of the aspect ratio. I know the aspect ratio needs to go from 4:3 to 16:9. I've tried and researched several ideas and nothing is working.

Do you still get those bars when you turn the phone to landscape? Have you downloaded the video to your computer, and it still had bars? Change of orientation often solves what we think are problems.

Added. Ok, I just took a short video in my living room. Yup - black bars. Poked at it for a couple of minutes, and it went full screen. Must be related to news videos you get with playback bars, and if you tap them, they go full screen. Can't tell you exactly what I did, but it worked. Closed and opened it - works every time now. I should go read the Manual in the Books folder. Maybe you, too.

I called sprint and they tried everything on their end and told me to reset the network settings, even resetting the entire phone, and nothing helped. I read somewhere that the antenna is touchy on these phones and wearing a case may help? I would like to hear any fixes and if anyone else has had these issues. It worked completely fine the first day I had it and then it just started losing service for no reason.

  • My left eye hurts when I move it from side to side and up and down? I was on my iPhone last night at 11:00 pm, and I was reading a small print book for class today. When I move my left eye left and right and side to side to look at something, they hurt. I have pretty bad eyesight, an wear thick-ish classes. Is this because I was straining them or?
