Food Damage on iphone 5 speaker?
So basically i accidentally got icing on the speaker at the bottom of my iphone 5. I got all the icing out and used this method i found on google which was use peroxide and water to remove it on the inside, however right after i got the icing out and before i did the peroxide and water thing the speaker was really faint and distorted, i can still hear however, its extremely faint. Is there a way to fix this? It works fine with the headphones plugged in but when someone calls me or i misplace my phone i won't be able to hear it. I really don't wanna pay 600 bucks for a replacement. Is there a way I can fix this problem at home? Also i'm only 16 so i don't know much about how to fix this help please.
So you got sugar in it, and then put peroxide in it to clean it? Wow… I would take it to an apple store and ask if they can replace that speaker piece, or tell them its not working and hope they just replace it.

- Water damage to iPhone 5s speaker? I spilt milk on my apron at work today while my iPhone was in the pocket. Now the speaker doesn't work properly and I only got the phone yesterday. It sounds very distorted and is much quieter.
- IPhone sounds play from ear speaker, not bottom speaker? Every so often, when I double click the home button, scroll over to the volume level, there's a little symbol for air play. When selected, I can play sounds from either the I phones ear speaker or the bottom (louder) speaker. However, this seems to go in and out and most of the time the air play icon isn't there. How do I fix this?
