Forgot Passcode for iPhone 4?

I got a iPhone 4 Yesterday for my grandfather and he has forgotten the pass code for the lock, he says he doesn't have a USB to connect to iTunes and Sync and Restore it. This is really awkward so I'm just wondering if you can tell me how to wipe the phone without using iTunes.

I can't remember if it restores it or just reboots it normally, but hold the lock button and home button down for a few minutes/seconds

You can't. You need iTunes. So your need the USB cable. You can restore it if you knew the password
