Found iPhone 5 Restore and Activation
Okay, so I found an iPhone 5 in Austin, TX when I was there for this really big music festival. This iPhone is from Mexico and I found it already deactivated, laying on the ground of the park where the music festival took place. Long story short, it was impossible to find it's owner. I followed the steps to restore it on iTunes in recovery mode and it was successful with the updating and restoring. When I tried to activate the phone, it made me enter the old apple ID and said that if I didn't have it, i couldn't activate it because this person has their Find My iPhone app on, and it is registered. This iPhone is from mexico, and there's really no way i can get it back. My younger brother lost his phone and since we found this phone we wanted to give it to him. Is there any way we can activate it, and go passed the Find My iPhone deal? Jailbreaking maybe? It's just sitting in a drawer, I would like to put it to use.

- Will I get activation lock if I restore? So my Iphone 5 running iOS 7.0.4 got stuck on apple logo. The problem is that I'm using a different apple id than before and I don't remember my password and thus i can't around Activation Lock. But before i got this problem i turned off find my iphone but on my newer itunes id if this has any connection whatsoever.
- When you restore an iphone from itunes backup does it restore messages? I need to restore my iPhone 4S in iTunes, will I lose my messages or will it leave the messages from my most recent back up?

- Iphone activation and restore? Getting the iphone 6 today at work during my break and my job doesn't have Wi-Fi, but they are forcing me to activate it there. Can I activate it there go on with my workday and wait to start the iCloud restore until I get home? Or will it need to start right away?
