Free iphone 4 without contract?

Now that Apple announced the iphone 5 the iphone 4 is now FREE with a contract. Now I live outside the US. What if i shipped it to somewhere in the US then to where i live. Then canceled the contract. I would have a free phone right? All i would have to pay for is shipping right?

Tell me what you think of this plan. Will it work?

There apple theyll find an answer don't cheat the system lol, if its a free phone just pay 30 dollars a month thats not bad all!

Probably not a smart idea.plus, it's not the iPhone 4 altogether that's free, it's just the iPhone 4 8gb one if you weren't sure of this.

You see, to get that phone in the first place, someone living in the US needs to register to that service and get that phone.wrong details will not be accepted because they'll verify the details. Now you'll get the phone for free. But the person from whom you bought it will need to pay money for the services though if they are not using it.

No.

To start you have to be living in America in order to get one on contract.

Yes the phone itself is free with the contract, but the contract entails payments like the voice & data plans & the activation fee for the phone which is $36 (unless it raised recently).

To cancel the contract early you would have to pay an early termination fee of $325 (which goes down by $10 every month you stick to it), plus you'd have to have the phone on the contract for at least 1 month because if you cancel within the 1st month they can & will take the phone back.

After all of that, then you have the phone & then you would have to pay for shipping & handling (of course someone you know in the US would have to see about it)

You would then have to see about getting it unlocked since it would only be able to work on that original carrier's network, which could involve some more money.

So $36+$325+s/h fees+voice/data plan fees+(potential) unlock fees = your total cost to get an iPhone 4.

I really need an iphone4

  • Will buying an iphone in contract and unlocking cause contract immediate fee? If i buy a iphone for example on att contract and unlock it, will att charge me what's left on the contract or will i just go by like nothing happened and free of contract? I haven't seen this but it makes quite a bit of sense for companies… Not sure if they do however.
  • Which is better iphone 5s plan, contract or no contract? I want to get an iphone 5s but i don't know if it's better to get a contract plan or a no contract plan. I would be having to pay every month with a contract and that's annoying. Yet with a contract i wouldn't have to pay that much for the phone would i? If i got the non contract i would get to pay the bill when i want but i would have to pay full price for the phone.
  • Should I get iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S? No contract or with contract? I don't know what exactly is so much better with the 5 compared to 4S? I'm thinking to get it with no contract because I'll be in Europe over the summer so I'll need another contract over there for a few months so that likely wouldnt work if I got a 2 year contract here in the US is the 5 much more expensive than the 4s? and does the price vary a lot if I buy with/without contract?
  • Is the iPhone 5s better with a contract or no contract? Which is cheaper? I was thinking about getting an iPhone 5s and I was just wondering if no contract or contract was cheaper. I saw that T- mobile offered a no contract deal, yes I know you have to pay it all up front. I just want to know which would be cheaper in the long run.
