Is this a good phone, do most ppl have iPhone 5s, it's used, I'm getting it for free

- Used Iphone 4 used for Wi-Fi only? I'm thinking about buying an iphone 4, but i plan on using my wi-fi instead of getting a plan. Will I be able to do this? I'm going to be buying the Iphone used. Please don't ask why not just buy an ipod, the person who is selling it to me is giving it at a good price. & also, the seller had at&t. If decide to activate the iphone will i have to activate it wity at&t?
- Should getting an iphone screen fixed be free? Finally got an iphone! Its an iphone 3 but it works good and i use it as a gophone from att but my boyfriend accidentally cracked the screen. Is it free to get an iphone screen fixed or does it still cost about 50$ to go and get it repaired?
- Is there any way of getting iPhone 5 for 199$ and getting rid of the contract? I just want the phone and wanna get rid of the contract without paying for it. I know how to unlock the phone so that's not a problem.
- Is the iPhone 5s still worth getting in 2015? Is it getting obsolete? My mom might be considering on getting me an iPhone, but she said that i Can't get a 6. She might be getting me a 5s instead. I don't know when yet though. How many years will Apple support software updates? It is already almost two years old and is it still a worth getting?
