Getting iphone replaced bad sleep/power button?
I got my iphone 5 around 2 months ago. The sleep/power button doesn't work most of the time, and now I have to press it nearly 10 times for a response. If I took it in to the store, would I get it fixed, or would it be a simple replace? Also (this will sound stupid) would I be able to keep my old iphone, or would they take it away (what do they need with a bad iphone they can't use or sell)?
If it's within warranty they will fix / replace it. Considering it's an iPhone 5, it's still in warranty. You need to set up an appointment with the Apple Store before walking in. They are usually very busy.
If you have Apple Care that gives you 2 years under warranty. They will replace phones for $100 bucks. If you are not under warranty they will replace phones for $200 bucks.
- When my iPhone 6 screen is replaced by apple, will the home button be replaced as well? Ever since I updated to iOS 9 on my iPhone 6, the home button has been totally unresponsive. On top of this, my phone was recently stepped on and the screen was shattered. I plan on paying the $109 to have the screen replaced from apple, but does that replace the home button too? I've heard that when the front screen panel is replaced, so is the home button/touch id.
- Power button and home button doesn't work on iPhone 5C? Hi, so a while ago I dropped my phone in water, I took it to a repair shop and they fixed it but when I got it back the power and home button didn't work, I turned on assistive touch so I can use my home button and turn off my phone, now I can't turn it on without using my charger or having someone text me, is there any other way I can turn it on without having to do that?
- My iPhone screen is all black and my power / sleep button doesn't work. What do I do? I clicked on this app & my phone turned all black all I could see was the status bar and that's it & I pressed the home button but it stayed frozen, it didn't work. & well my power button doesn't work so yeah and then my iPhone locked and now I press the home button and Siri works and everything but my phones screen is still black!
- Is it bad to sleep with your iPhone overnight? I usually place it near my legs cause I heard its bad to sleep with it near your head. I connect it to headphones because I skype with my friend till i fall asleep, is it still bad?
