I don't know. Most don't use iphones.
I didn't lose anything and I can't remember if I gave them the lock code or not. I did not give my Apple password. You can always the change the lock code afterwards.
Replacing the battery shouldn't affect your data in any way at all, and you shouldn't have to factory reset it either.
It's essentially like turning your iPhone off completely for an hour, then turning it back on. Or like letting the battery die, wait an hour, then start charging it.
Your data doesn't care, it's stored on an SD card which doesn't require power to keep the data.
I don't see why they would need your (unlock) password/PIN either, but if they do, I'm sure they're going to ask for it. It's not like you have to prepare for telling it to them.
No the battery change wouldn't require passwords nor delete anything but at the same time no harm in doing a backup beforehand.
- Just updated to iOS 8 on my iPhone and it changed my ringtone and don't let me change it back? So I just updated to iOS 8 yesterday, but today all of a sudden my ringtone changed to a ding sound opposed to the original notification noise when I get texts. So I was like okay weird but no big deal I'll just change it back. So I went to settings and sounds and found the original ringtone and chose it. But when I went back out it didn't save. So I kept trying over and over and it still will not save it. It keeps going back to the ding ringtone. Am I doing something wrong? Any help?
