Getting out of a group text?

So my mom sent me a picture on her samsung galaxy 3 & turns out, she sent it to my sister & my aunts. So my question to you guys is how in God's name do I get out of it? They've been replying for about an hour now and All the messages are being sent to my iPhone. Is there a way I can get out of it or my mother can take me out of it?

I'm afraid you might have to have your mother removed your name from the group text herself. There's no option to do it yourself.

  • Why does my iPhone receive messages late when I'm in a group text? I have the iPhone 4s with 16g (I have less than a gig left of space) and am on T-Mobile. Every single time I'm added to a new group text, my phone delays all messages sent to me. Regardless of whether it's another iPhone or if they're on the same carrier as me, none of my messages get to me until an hour or so later. Is it because I'm low on space? Or is it T-Mobile (probably the worst carrier I've ever had by the way)? Or is it the iPhone software?

What app should they get so that the other people in the group can just check their normal messages inbox and not have to download another app? What I'm looking for is an app that only requires the Android user to have to check the app and not all of us. The rest of us just get the messages to our normal Iphone inboxes.

  • IPhone 4 will not send or receive group text messages? My iPhone 4 recently decided it did not want to send or receive group text. I have reset the phone, I have MMS turned on, group messaging turned on, and it is updated to the most recent version of iOS. The weird part is that my iPad and iPod where both receiving group texts through iMessage. If I turn iMessage on on my iPhone though, it sends text from my email even it I tell it to only send and receive from my phone number. Has anyone else had this problem and do you know how to fix it?
