Good delivery/ inventory System required for a small dairy business?

My question is:
are there any free/cheap software that i can use to enable me to keep track of 10 different products for my business? So Ideally I would like to register each different product with its details such as picture & barcode & quantity available in stock and quantity available in delivery van. So that when the day begins the delivery driver can load 'x' amount of each product into the van and then have the ability to walk into our stores and place orders and print invoices easily.
I understand that I will need to buy a thermal printer for the van which is compatible with iPhone/iPad so if there's anything that works for a fair price please let me know.
I'll simplify my question so I can possibly receive an accurate answer/ help, so here it goes in 9 easy steps.

1. Deliver driver parks the van outside a store
2. Walks inside store with tablet/iPhone
3. Identifies how much of OUR product is on their shelf.
4. Places order by scanning the barcode & entering quantity required for that store
5. Finds out if there are any returns and enters quantity of that item
6. Clicks complete order and clicks 'print invoice' - these quantities shows up on invoice with a breakdown of unit price and total price.
7. Walks to van collects the items along with the invoice that was sent by the portable device for print
8. Delivers the goods & collects cash
9. Inventory for the van is updated now with less available product ( basically the exact amount of each product delivered to the store is subtracted from van inventory )

And the process repeats from 1-9 for each store.

I will be very happy to answer any questions which may arise from anything that I have missed out.
I'd really appreciate a answer for this as my business is starting to go downhill and need to figure out a really good system for deliveries.

I'm sure that you know that as a business owner, you tell your client that they get what they pay for. Keep that in mind when discussing "free" and "cheap."

  • What is the best craft inventory system? I'm looking for an inventory system that will work to easily manage craft supplies. I'm not seeing a lot of products that are allowing me to use partial amounts, for example I purchased 6 ounces of brown wax dye and used 1 ml but the systems I see won't let me just use some of what I have.
