Good program for video editing for beginners?

I had a video project for English and we recorded on my iPhone 4S but I don't have a Mac to use iMovie. I only have a toshiba. I need something that is free that will let me cut down some clips and music and effects and put text in some of it. Is there anything like that? If push comes to shove could I just buy iMovie on my iPad and do it? Only as a last resort though.

After effects trial, Vegas Pro or my favourite: MOVIE MAKER!

I use AVS video suite and i like it! It is inexpensive, easy to use and contains about 20 different video/audio/image tools, including editors, converters etc.

  • What's the best photography camera for beginners? I'm really interested in learning more about photography since I have been taking photos with my iphone. And I was wondering which camera is best for a beginner? Mostly I'm interested taking sunset portraits and the bokeh. And where can I get the lens too?
  • What's a good video editing app for iPhone that's free? I need one that I can either pause my recording at least mash videos together. I used to use iMovie but I got a new phone and I use a different apple account now and I don't have any money on it or money to put on it.
  • What's a good video editing app for iPhone 3G? It has to be able to work on iPhone 3G, to trim video, to add video effects, to add sound effects, and to be able to upload videos to YouTube.
  • What is a good video editing app? I'm shooting a movie with my iPhone and I want the footage to look really washed out. Almost black and white but still have a little bit of color. I've found apps that do this, but only to pictures. I have video editing apps but they can't achieve the look I'm trying to get. Does anyone know of any apps that allow you to tamper with the contrast, color, tone etc.
