Good reasons to buy an iPhone?

My parents are entirely out of the technology era. They were born when computers didn't exist, or cell phones, Let alone smart phones. I really want an iPhone, and yes I'm offering to pay 2/3 of the phone and plan, but they still don't think I need one. What are some good reasons that can convince them to pay for the other 1/3?

Don't even bother answering if you say that I don't even need a cell phone and that you didn't even have one growing up. Get real. This world is much more dangerous now than before.

I don't exactly need an iPhone, but who really NEEDS one? I have been asking for over two years now. I'm actually hoping for my birthday. I know that they aren't just saying this, because I thought they were, and haven't gotten me an iPhone yet.

If i were you i would buy a Samsung Galaxy s3

Don't it may seem great but it freezes a lot and breaks easily mine was good for like 2 months and now it turns off every couple of days get the samsung galaxy instead

Billions of people like your parents are out of the latest technology. Be polite and humble to parents and make them understand that their childhood age is not similar to yours. Tell them that a smartphone has shorten the world in your hand. I don't know your age. Some parents does not allow their young aged kids to have smartphone even a multimedia phone because they are worried about its abuse.

Let them know that you are actually in need of a smartphone. You can keep connectivity and recreation as well.
