Got new iphone and it already has 1.5 gb of other?
So i got a free iphone 4 with my new phone deal and i was just registering it and putting music into it when i noticed that the "other" thing is 1.5 gb. I haven't even downloaded anything onto my phone. Can someone tell me what this "other" thing is and how to get rid of it or atleast lessen the usage. Please help. I only have a little bit storage left because of it. Also if i don't buy the internet and use my own Wi-Fi and get apps and use i message and youtube and search stuff will it cost me money? My cousin told me something about it costing money to use your own Wi-Fi? I think hes lying tho.
Other is the stuff that actually makes the iPhone, iPhone. Your forgetting camera, calendar, notes and more.those things are other. It's only a bit of space nothing too much.
Other is any files that the iPhone uses to work. Like ios or any documents. You should have it checked because other should not be that big this early.
When you use Wi-Fi without data then it should be free accounting that you pay the Internet. You can put your phone on airplane mode with Wi-Fi on to make sure you don't use data.
- When I first got my new iphone, I logged in to my other apple id to get my bought things back. So now apple music doesn't work. What to do? So now it says "icloud can't be turned on because this device is already associated with another account" and it's mad annoying. Apple music delets some of my songs or majority of them and I can't turn on icloud for music.
- If I got a new iPhone and I typed my Apple ID in the new iPhone will I get all my thing on it? I already have an iPhone but I'm getting a new one soon. To be honest I don't really know what an Apple ID is so I was thinking that once I got my new iPhone and I typed in my previous ID would I get all my apps and photos and stuff like that?
- I went to the river the other day and my almost brand new iphone 5c has water damage? I don't have insurance and the warranty won't cover water damage. I'm on a two year contract so i can't upgrade until December and i don't really have money to take it to the repair shop right now. I have tried putting it in rice, but it didn't help. Could i drop the phone off the plan and then add a new one? I don't know what to do.
- I just got an iPhone and I've already used a ton of data? I'm on a 2gb data plan and I only got 2 because I have Wi-Fi at home. Even though I have the Wi-Fi, even when my phone is idle, it is still using up my data. I don't know what is going on with it but is there any way to get this under control or some kind of app to help out with this? Thank you Sora! That sounds like the best thing I could do. Now this is my first smart phone so I still have so much to learn about this.
