Green pixel on iPhone screen?
There's one green pixel on my iPhone 4S screen… Why has this happened and is there a way to fix it? I'm not too bothered by it I'm just curious.
Sounds like a silly answer but have you tried tapping the affected area? Because with stuck pixels this can really help.
And you could also get a clean dry cloth and keep rubbing the affected area both these methods have been proved to work.
It's called a "hot pixel" and is a hardware fault which can occur on any LCD screen from the moment it's manufactured. The fault is usually irreversible and the only remedy is a new screen.
It doesn't necessarily follow that other pixels will also fail but sometimes the cause of the fault is due to a decaying substrate ( a manufacturing error rather than a random single pixel failure) in which case others will fail as hot or possibly dead pixels in rapid succession.
