Group Messaging with both iPhone and non-iPhone user trouble?

I'm trying to do a group message with two of my friends (three people total). Two of us have iPhones and the other one has a Samsung. I can text the Samsung user through the group chat as text messages, but as soon as the other iPhone user says something, our texts get turned to iMessage and she can no longer get them. I don't want to turn iMessage off, because a lot of people I text are through iMessage.

Is there any way to make it so the messages send as text messages?

Both iPhones are 5cs and I'm not sure what type the Samsung is.

There's no way to make it work without turning off your iMessage.
Now with that being said, is this just a one time conversation? If so, then I don't think it would hurt for you to turn it off for the time being - other wise, you could always create a group message on Facebook (if you all have one) and talk on there through the Facebook Messenger app.

  • Why would an iPhone user suddenly be unable to text another i phone user? My husband and I have both have iPhones (through Verizon if it matters) and for the last week anytime he's tried to text me it doesn't go through.
  • When Android user sends text to a mixed group of iPhone and Android users? A family member who is an Android user sent a text message to a large group of recipients, including me. The group has both Android users and iPhone users. I'm an iPhone user. Does this mean that I will receive everyone else s messages like an iMessage group, or will all messages go directly between the conversation starter and whoever is messaging him, without any of the other group members seeing what the other members said?
  • What's the difference between group messaging and messages? I'm just asking because it always lags behind messaging and I don't message that many people at one time where you add more than 1 contact. I have an iPhone. I just check my data from the text message number.
  • What is group messaging on the iphone? It says I have sent 709 messages of unlimited. Then under that it says group messaging: 2, 089 of unlimited. What does that mean? I never really have had a group texting thing with 3+ people. So does that mean someone else is receiving all my messages?
