Has anyone else got there iPhone batter replaced at Apple?
I'm planning to get my iphone 5's battery replaced because my phone would just randomly shut off especially in the cold winter. It would say for example 40% left then randomly turn off. When i try to turn it on it would say i need to charge it. When i do charge it and my phone does turn on it would say there's like 20% left instead of 0 or 1% left… I want my battery replaced at the Apple Store and would love to know the process… Like do i have to sync/ back up my iphone. Do they make you unlock your phone? And how long does it take/ leave it there? Thanks <3

and yes the battery can be replaced for $79 plus tax at the Apple store.
Battery in apple idevices are not replaceable. Most likely they replace the phone or try finding the cause
You could purchase the Battery fro eBay and follow this guide.

Was much easier on the 4/4S model.
You don't need to backup the iPhone for a battery replacement however it never hurts.
Bear in mind if you take apart the phone yourself you will void your Warranty, so best to get apple to do it. If you make an appointment at the Apple Store it shouldn't take more than an hour.
- When my iPhone 6 screen is replaced by apple, will the home button be replaced as well? Ever since I updated to iOS 9 on my iPhone 6, the home button has been totally unresponsive. On top of this, my phone was recently stepped on and the screen was shattered. I plan on paying the $109 to have the screen replaced from apple, but does that replace the home button too? I've heard that when the front screen panel is replaced, so is the home button/touch id.
- Has anyone else had this problem? So i have an iphone 4s and i can't send text messages to android users 3 times already i've been to the apple store and the sprint store and they say there's nothing they can do to really fix the problem its aggravating me.
- Has anyone else had this iPhone 5 problem? I've had my iPhone 5 since November. Since then, I've been through around maybe 6 different charging cords. They'll work for a few weeks and then stop charging correctly. I've bought so many chargers I've probably paid more in chargers than I did for the actual phone. Should I call AT&T or apple or does anyone know any possible fixes?
- Has anyone else had problems with the iPhone 5 lightning cable breaking? My first lightning cable broke about a month after I bought my iPhone 5 so I got a new one and it's been a few months and this one is going bad too! It's breaking right at the part between the jack and the wire.Am I just too aggressive with it or is this a common thing?
