Have i stepped in a time warp or did my Iphone clock just go from 1:59 to 1:00?
WTF
Dave gorman has the answer
The clocks have went back due to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Time. So you have gained an hour. It happens twice a year, but the next change you lose an hour. So at 1;59 it then goes to 2;00am
Your iPhone is working properly, then. Today's the day the clocks go back an hour, from BST to GMT at 2 am.
The clocks went back last night and obviously your phone corrects itself. 2.00am is the time when it happens so that would be correct. The clocks will go forward in the Spring and the opposite will happen to you ie it will be 1.59am and then suddenly it will change to 3.00am and NOT 2.00am as the other person put. You are lucky that it changed itself or you would have to do it manually. My TV and computer do it automatically, but I have to change my Mobile myself, and also my wristwatch, as they aren't self adjusting.
Be thankful that your Iphone knows WTF is going on, as you obviously missed the part about clocks going back. They officially went back at 2:00 am this Sunday morning.
Welcome to GMT.
You have not stepped into a a time warp, you are just showing your ignorance of something that anyone who payed attention to the radio/tv or at school would know.
The clocks went "back" this morning. So instead of showing 2 am the clock returned to 1 am. This gives people an extra hour in bed.
At 02:00 on the last Sunday of October all UK clocks go back an hour. In the spring they go forward an hour.
It happens every year and has done since the start of World War 1 so you really should know this by now. The reason is to set our clocks to take best advantage of the hours of daylight, which are less in winter than summer and it's mostly lighter in the evenings.
It's all primary school stuff.
- Why exactly would my dad be upset at me that I broke his laptop after he smashed my iPhone and stepped on it? My dad took my iPhone and smashed it. So I pushed his laptop off the table and it broke. Now he is mad at me. How can he be when he destroyed my iPhone? Irony. Oh I do chores around the house and cook. He broke my phone because I had the speaker too loud when I was studying and watching a video for class
- Why does the FBI have such a hard time cracking iPhone encryption. Why don't they just use the spy agencie's methods of using spyware? All you need is their phone number, and a cheap piece of software and you have access to everything on the phone (including deleted info) Why make a huge scene about it, when there are much easier ways to bypass lock screen encryption? You don't even need access to the phone, it can remotely install with just one phone call to the number too… Just saying, if the FBI really wanted in, it would be very easy
- Looking for a work time clock? I'm doing some 3d modeling work and I'd like to keep track of the time I've been working. I'm looking for an application that would allow me to simply click it when I start working and than click it again when I'm done. Preferably with some sort of a calendar so I know how much time I've spent working in the space of a month and on specific days. Every time I search for that kind of a thing all I get are Iphone and android apps and I'm not interested in that.
- I stepped on a iPhone charger and it went into my foot? I stepped on the part that goes into the outlet and now it stopped bleeding but it's sore and hurts to walk on. Is there anything to stop the pain? Fast maybe?
