Headphone jack on my iPhone 6 isn't working right. I was wondering if the adapter for the 7 would work with it. Probably not right?

First - CLEAN your port. Shut of the phone - dead off. Use something plastic or wood - NEVER METAL - and *gently* poke around in there. Betcha there are dust bunnies that have gotten MASHED into something as hard as felt. If when you put the plug in, it feels jiggly or does not go in all the way - sure sign. (While you are at it clean the CHARGING post too.) When I cleaned out the two ports on my husband's phone, I did it at my desk, bright light, over a piece of white paper. HE was SURE I was fooling when I showed him all the dirt - like I have picked up dust off the floor, or something! If you can use an over head desk light to look DOWN into those ports, you will see the crud in there. So if you ID buy that adapter, and THAT port also was dirty - it w still would not work well, so try this first. And when you get out all the dust bunnies, they take a pipe cleaner ( NO, not a q-tip with some fuzz pulled off! A PIPE CLEANER) and barely moisten, then blot it, with windex or some other kind of glass cleaner. NOT ALCOHOL. WIpe out those port like cleaning a baby's ear. Let is all dry. Clean off the PLUGS that go into each of those ports. When it is all dry, turn on, plug in - better? Try spinning the audio plug - better?

And if your charging port is clean and the audio port is NOT working, then try a 7 adapter. No sense buying one with you do not need to. Good luck - owning stuff means you need to maintain it, and the COMPANIES would rather it go bad, you PAY them to fix it, or you buy something NEW. Sneaky stinkers, they is.

An iphobr 7 adapter should work. The Lightning ports have the same pinouts and audio signal goes through there for stereo docks.
