I have just brought a iPhone 5c. I'm using my old SIM card with it?
When I try to activate it, it says error, could not activate iPhone.
When I try to activate it via Itunes, it says that my phone is PIN locked and that I have to unlock it first.
Any ideas on how to activate it?
Is your iPhone from the same carrier as your SIM card?
If you iPhone is locked to AT&T (example), then that means that you have to use an AT&T SIM card.
If it's unlocked, then you can use pretty much any SIM card as long as it isn't physically damaged.
Also, does the SIM have a PIN lock? If it does, you may need to remove it or buy a new one.
- Old iPhone with old sim card? Mum just got a new iPhone, so gave her old one to my sister. My sister did not have an appropriate sized sim card, so they guy at the store cut it down. Mum's new sim card is working, but when we put my sisters in the old phone, it just keeps saying no service. What do we do? Can we use it or not?
