Help NEEDED! I dropped my iphone in water
So I dropped my iphone in the sink this morning and when i turned it on it kept on showing the apple logo over and over again! It turned on a few times but the it shut down after like 4 seconds. When it turned on, i noticed that it had a water stain beneath the screen! My camera is super foggy too! I put it in a bag of rice but that didn't help get the water out. I plugged it into my computer and tried to restore it to turn it on but then my computer shut down. I also tried pressing the home button and the power button at the same time for 10 seconds, it didn't work. It keeps on showing the apple logo again and again.
If you have Apple care just go ask them for a new one
There's nothing more you can do. The water has won.
Electronics + water = disaster.
Hope you had it insured.
Get a bag of rice and leave your phone in the rice over night
You need to keep it off until all the water is out. Keep it in rice for at least 24 hours. Turning it on and plugging it in is just going to short everything out.
It's fried. Turning it on was the absolute worst thing you could have done. It should have been put in a bowl of rice for an extended period of time.
Yeah my suggestion would be just to keep it in the bowl or bag of rice to dry out the moisture, if not what you could do is buy a repair kit to open up your iPhone and try to clear out even more moisture there, if all your phone does is show the Apple logo and then die again while you're charging it (called power cycles) then your battery is screwed, if you have Apple care then the easiest thing would be just to have them replace it, if not, just find a couple of videos on how to replace the battery which should be the only thing to suffer any serious damage from the water, although be careful, if it is the battery that's the problem then protect yourself from it, lithium catches on fire when exposed to water and it being shoved in a tiny shock resistant sleeve makes an explosion more likely to happen… Just set it in a dry area to get the moisture out, if there's a problem with the battery and it doesn't catch on fire, just replace it…
You need to put it in the rice for a WEEK

- Updating jailbroken iPhone 4s iOS 5.1.1 to 6.1.3 help needed? Full story: I bought my iPhone off a friend, who previously got it on bill pay, but stopped paying the bill, so they disabled the phone. He got the phone jailbroken to bypass that, and now the phone is working properly, pay-as-you-go, but it is jailbroken. The phone will NOT work without being jailbroken. I was wondering how do I update it from iOS 5.1.1 to iOS 6.1.3? (Keeping in mind it NEEDS to be jailbroken to work)
