IPhone 4S users! How is your experience with the phone? Pros and Cons?

Hey iPhone 4S users! How is your experience with the phone? Pros and Cons?

I've been using mine over a year. I like it a lot. I got a Mophie juicepack with it so I have no issues related to battery time, and the charge/data connection is a regular USB micro through the juicepack - the 30-pin connector is taken care of by the juicepack. It does more than I need - the phone works well, too… As does the camera for stills and video (under good lighting conditions). Panorama mode is cool. Find my iPhone works great… Data speeds are decent (but the 4s is 3G data only, so no 4G/LTE). Blue Tooth, Wi-Fi and wide area connectivity are good (thank you, Verizon Wireless); wireless printing at home is useful. As a cell phone, I use about 3,500 minutes a month and in my market, the connections are good and stable, quality is great (again, nod to Verizon Wireless). App selection is good. Facetime works well (in Wi-Fi). IMessage is great for iMessage and SMS with non-iMessage users. Integration with Macintosh computers (iTunes, iPhoto) and AppleTV is awesome. It is stable. It integrates well with my work connectivity and applications.

I have every confidence that most smartphones it competes with offer many similar attributes (I've used friends' Android-based phones from different manufacturers) - with the exception of the Apple ecosystem integration. Conversely, I'm sure there are lots of folks who like their iPhones without using other Apple products.

The list of things I wish worked better is pretty short. I have a 16 gig model. I wish I had gotten one with more memory - or that I could use a memory card to increase available memory (for photos, video, etc). I wish it could deal with a voice call and data session simultaneously without jailbraking. It is also possible that because I've been using it for so long, the things that used bother me just don't anymore - because I either don't need whatever it is or found a suitable workaround…

  • What are the pros and cons of a sprint and tmobile merge? Will my coverage speeds change? Will my Tmobile iPhone 5c be technically be running off of sprints network? Sprint is just downright terrible. I don't want to be paying a cent for service I can't use. Please tell me this isn't the case. TMobile uses HSPA+ network, and sprint uses CDMA. Those technologies are 2 totally different technologies, therefore probably rendering them incompatible.
  • Should I Buy the iPhone 5 from Apple or Verizon? (Pros and Cons Please.)? My wireless phone service is on a business plan and only the business owner is our Verizon Account Manager, so I do not have rights to access my Verizon account. I have had my Blackberry Storm2 for over 3 years and I'm wondering if it is better for me to wait and see if Verizon will offer the 64GB iPhone 5 at a discounted price for me or if Apple will offer the iPhone 5 at the same exact price as Verizon including the ability to sync with my Verizon business account?
  • Pros & Cons of Jailbreaking your iPhone? Ok, so I have an iPhone 4 and I would just like to know the good and bad things about jailbreaking an iPhone. If you've already jailbroken your iPhone, would you suggest it for other people or not? Have you had any major bugs harm your phone, or is it pretty safe to jailbreak? Will my phone still work the same? What are the risks? Etc. Just basically all I need to know about jailbreaking, thanks!
