Is it beneficial to buy unlocked iphone 5s from singapore to use in india?

It would be a good idea if it is cheaper in Singapore than in India.
Ok i'm not pretty sure of this. But the major problem you can face most likely is battery issue. Phones are designed according to country's cellular network depending on bandwidth of signals.Ao if you use an iPhone of other country in India the responce of antena could not match with India's so if struggles to get that network. And your phone will work fine with any network but battery will drain quickly

I have an iphone 5 and I was wondering if there was some way to just use the phone for taking pictures/using Whatsapp/Snapchat while I'm over there without being charged by my carrier. I won't be using my phone data but probably just wi-fi. But if someone calls/texts me will it still charge me for it?
