Will apple store unlock my iphone? It is currently locked up for uk network?
You see i enter into a plan with octo(iphone 4) the contract is still not over but i want to give it to my neice ( in exchange ill use her phone) but the iphone won't recognize her sim. Will apple store unlock the phone? And will my contract in octo be affected in anyway?

Apple stores will not unlock your phone as this is the sole authority of the carriers. You can either try to get it unlocked by calling your carrier (will only work if you meet a number of contractual requirements) or you get it unlocked at one of the big online vendors like http://www.cellfservices.com/ as they can do this without the contractual requirements your carrier will ask for.
