How big does a city have to be to get stores like Costco, apple, whole foods, target and ikea?

The population of the city I live in is 57,899. (As of 2012)

And it's like the most ghetto town ever. We have to drive to Salt Lake City in order to go shopping!

I'm mean 58,000 is a lot of people. These people need iPhones, furniture and bulk food!

All we have here is Walmart. Like that's it. We have no other shopping.

How big do we have to be to get real stores?!

Bigger than that. I live in a city of over 600,000, and the nearest IKEA is a three-hour drive. (We have one Apple store and one Whole Foods Market.) Your best chance is Target or Costco.
